I was struggling really bad with binge eating & anxiety. I have had an eating disorder for around 5 years now.

Constantly feeling like a victim and had a huge weight constantly sitting on my shoulders. SAMMIE helped me uncover things I didn’t know I was bottling up and really helped me step back and observe why things were happening.

When I came to Sammie, I was extremely lost: I struggled with constant comparison and jealousy, found it difficult to overcome shame and bitterness, constantly downplayed my strengths due to feeling never good enough, and was cripplingly insecure.

The thought of putting myself out there and being seen was terrifying, so I never did it and continued to ‘play small’. ⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣Without Sammie I would never had unlocked the flow I now have in my life.

Sammie encouraged me to never judge my emotions but to get present with them, learn to create space and get curious around how I was feeling. When I first came to Sammie, I was in a place of quite intense anxiety, consistently waking up with that feeling of being ‘on edge’ and it not getting any better throughout the day.

I was experiencing situations daily where I was giving too much of my energy away to people and to things that weren’t returning anything positive back. I had drifted so far away from my being it felt as if I’d forgotten I was my own person all together.

Sammie has an incredible way of communicating, her nature is so warm and welcoming, I felt extremely comfortable from the moment we met.

Through conversation, meditation and conscious breath work, I was able to unravel my anxieties, learn to create space and let an abundance of light in. The two most valuable lessons Sammie has taught me is that ‘Being present in a moment isn’t always achievable but it’s always an option’ and that ‘Change Begins with Me.’ These two things I remind myself of every day. I was always prioritising others before myself and depleting myself of any joy. The sad part is, I didn't even realise it at the time. Sammie has made me realise the importance of choosing joy over fear, and asking me key questions to then ask myself - are my actions going to nourish me or deplete me? I started to see and notice more through my everyday life & thoughts that all that I do was out of fear, and many of the things that I am adamant of have led me to depletion.

Through time and small steps, Sammie has helped me nourish my mind and give my approaches to things a different meaning. Instead of looking at a glass as half empty or half full, it's refillable.
